  • Medication refusals (also contact supervisor)
  • Medication clarification questions (after your own investigation)
  • No delegated staff available (also contact supervisor / prescriber)
  • Missing medications (after your own investigation)
  • Delivery questions — Saturday deliveries leave at 4pm
  • Medications given outside the med window (also contact supervisor)

No — not for the after-hours line

  • Refill needed — use QuickMAR, fax, or call; after hours leave a message
  • Missed meds while in ED or Urgent Care — ask the discharging doctor
  • Staffing issues — this does not give authority
  • Routine / frequent refusals — contact PCP to build a plan

Before you text

  1. 1. Check with your supervisor first.
  2. 2. Text the after-hours line: 253-473-1155.
  3. 3. Follow the reply prompts so they can help quickly.

Have ready:

  • Resident full name and date of birth
  • Specific concern or clarification needed
  • Medication(s) — name, mg, and instructions (e.g. "Metformin 500mg, 1 tab daily with meals")
  • Your name, company, and contact info

If there's no reply within 30 minutes, text again. After-hours staff are the same folks who work the counter — response times may be longer overnight.
